  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted, divided
  • Two large onions, chopped, divided
  • Four pieces of carrots, coarsely chopped, divided
  • Four stalks of celery, chopped, divided
  • Bay leaf

Initial Preparation

Once your turkey has thawed, remove it from the packaging. Next, rub kosher salt over it, inside and out. Then put the turkey in a large stockpot and cover it with cold water. You’ll also want to put the turkey back in the fridge for about 12 hours or overnight. After this time, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. You should also thoroughly rinse the turkey.
