From March through November, Chappell Hill Lavender Farm welcomes guests to drop by their farm and gift shop. There’s no fee to explore the fields, and picnics are encouraged among the aromatic lavender. At the gift shop, you might see some crafts made by local artisans. The farm is open to the public Thursday through Sunday, and you’ll find Chappell Hill located at 2250 Dillard Road, Brenham, Texas 77833.
Chill Out at Blue Bell
If you’re in Brenham during the week, you can keep cool by visiting the Blue Bell Creameries, where you can dig into a scoop of your favorite flavor. You can also look around their country store for a souvenir or gift. Keep in mind that the country store, visitor center, and ice cream parlor are closed on weekends. Grab a Bite
If you work up an appetite while in town, you’ll have plenty of options for dinner. It’s always easy to find good barbecue in Texas, and while you’re in Brenham, you could stop by a restaurant like Nathan’s BBQ or Truth BBQ for a slow-cooked meal. Volare serves up Italian fare, while Kay’s Cuisine for the Soul complements American standards with sweet treats.
